The evolution model predicts that if similar structures or complex chemical pathways occur in different species, they must have had a common ancestor, however the opposite is true; specialized and complex structures are seen in dissimilar creatures.
Example: Hemoglobin is a very complex structure and should therefore only occur through a common ancestor. Yet it occurs sporadically among invertebrates in no obvious pattern, but with the same structure, complete and functional.
