PROLO/PIT RESEARCH

Basic Science Studies
Select the  "Basic ScienceDextrose" page above for an overview of basic science studies on prolotherapy. This lists evidence that dextrose injection causes analgesia (pain relief), chondrogenicity (cartilage cell growth), is safe with direct injection of tendons, and thickens ligaments.
Clinical Studies: Randomized clinical trials only
Select the "Dextrose  RCTs" (Randomized Controlled Trials) page above to see the areas for which RCTs have been published.)  Below is  a talk given in December of 2020, summarized studies published since 2018 in all areas by Dr Reeves at the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine 37th Annual Conference, given virtually

Perineural Injection Treatment Studies
PIT, Perineural Injection Treatment, is injection with a goal to restore normal function in nerves that cause chronic pain and degeneration. It originated with Dr. John Lyftogt in New Zealand and is widely practiced and growing quickly, with some early research completed. Click on "PIT Research" page for more information.

"Real Hope for Chronic Pain"
We use dextrose and platelet prolotherapy to eliminate the causes of chronic pain.
The treatment is like acupuncture but with injection of a solution that heals irritable nerves, stabilizes and calms arthritic joints  and repairs/regenerates sprains and strains in your body.
