LOCATING OUR OFfice (IN a residential area)

Dr. Reeves' office is on the right side of the picture below. If you wonder why we are in a residential area, here are the three primary reasons:
1.  It is less expensive, allowing for Dr. Reeves to pay for his research, which is self-funded.
2.  It decreases overhead to make treatments more affortable in general.
3.  It is becoming increasingly common.

You will notice there is both a day and evening view of the office. An evening clinic is only available for those in Dr. Reeves'  current study on the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in veterans and 1st responders. The office portion is  on street level, with a handicapped ramp entrance.  Patients typically park in this driveway shown here, or on the street in front of the office.

You will enter the waiting room, check in at the front desk. Off the primary office area is  a staff room, laboratory/centrifuge/hood area for sterile solution preparation, an easily accessible bathroom, and Dr. Reeves office.  You will be directed through the waiting room door, through ther primary office work area, and and

into one of two treatment rooms, each of which is equipped for ultrasound guidance, and has several large screens to allow viewing from multiple directions  by Dr. Reeves.  Patients and familly often enjoy watching once they realize that we work very hard to keep patients comfortable. There are also vital sign monitors, as we always monitor those who receive pain medication for treatment.

We specialize in treatment of the most difficuilt pain situations and in the treatment of needle phobics. We often see patients who can barely be touched due to severe pain. One way we may treatment more comfortable is to give pain or relaxant medication by mouth.  However, also very important is that Dr Reeves uses a very small needle (allergy or acupuncture size) to place small bumps of anesthetic on the skin, as you see below. These bump areas numb within 5 seconds, and then Dr. Reeves injects anesthetic/dextrose through those spots to blow anesthetic down toward the areas to be treated. In special cases we may even do a 3 stage numbing process.  The reason this is so important is that treatment of complicated cases takes quite a while and relaxation is very helpful.  Using numbing like this reduces greatly the amount of pain medication needed, decreasing side effect concerns from medication.

To find us by car it is best to be sure to put in the full address, with the city as Roeland Park, and include the zip code.  (4740 El Monte Street, Roeland Park, Kansas 66205)  El Monte Street spans several zip codes. In the below map, you can see how when you come south on Roe Avenue from Interstate 35, you turn left (east) on 48th street (at a Burger King), and follow 48th street as it becomes 47th street. Once you've passed Roe Lane, El Monte St will be the 2nd street on your right. Our office is the 7th house on the right as you go down the street. Parking is in the first driveway or on the right side of the street to avoid steps.

"Real Hope for Chronic Pain"
We use dextrose and platelet prolotherapy to eliminate the causes of chronic pain.
The treatment is like acupuncture but with injection of a solution that heals irritable nerves, stabilizes and calms arthritic joints  and repairs/regenerates sprains and strains in your body.
